What Routinery actually costs in 2026
Routinery's 2026 US prices from the App Store: $5–5.49/mo, yearly from $24.99, lifetime $39.99, and what the free tier actually gives you.

Routinery's US App Store listing, checked 26 August 2026, shows Premium monthly at $5.00 and $5.49, yearly plans from $24.99 up to $39.49, a six-month plan at $24.00, a weekly plan at $0.99, family at $49.99, and lifetime access at $39.99. Same listing, same day. That spread is regional leftovers, promotions, and current list prices sitting in one IAP table, which is why a screenshot from last year is useless.
The app is free to download. It carries ads. One App Store review says "i can have only 2 routines for free." The developer's public reply to a similar complaint is that Routinery "can be used completely free for life" and that the paywall has an exit. Both can be true. Two routines is a working demo. It is not a life.

If you see $7.99/month on an old blog, that's stale. Our own price table had $7.99/$39.99 from a July check of their marketing site. The store is what Apple will charge you.
The number that matters is yearly vs lifetime
$5/month is $60/year. The $36 yearly SKU is $3/month if you last the year. Lifetime at $39.99 undercuts even one year of the $5 plan, which is the whole point of a lifetime SKU: stop the meter.
Three-year math using the boring US numbers, not the promo:

Buy lifetime if you've already used the free two-routine cap long enough to know the timer format is the thing your brain will obey. Don't buy lifetime to "try it properly." That's what the two routines are for.
Tiimo has no lifetime option. Structured still does, at $99.99. Routinery's $39.99 lifetime is cheap against both. It is also a narrower product: a voice-guided step timer, not a day planner. Free tier, ads, and the two-routine wall
The listing marks the app as containing ads. That is the free-tier tax. Paying is partly paying to shut them up.
The two-routine cap is the other wall. Routines in this app are sequences (wake up, bathroom, bag, door), not a calendar. Two is enough to test whether a spoken countdown gets you through a morning. It is not enough to run a weekday and a weekend and a work-from-home day as separate tracks.
If two is genuinely enough, stay free and live with the ads. A lot of habit apps pretend the free tier is a product. This one is closer to a demo, and the vendor will say that in nicer words.
Weekly is a trap
$0.99/week is $51.48/year if you forget it. The yearly SKUs exist so you don't do that. ADHD and a 99-cent weekly charge is a known pairing. If you tap weekly, set a cancel reminder the same hour. Apple's cancel path is Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Is it worth it?
At $36/year or $39.99 once, Routinery is cheap for an app Apple has featured for ADHD support. Cheap is not the same as the right shape. If you need a visual day, that's Tiimo or Structured. If you need a sequence with a voice telling you the next step, this is the one I'd pay for, and I'd pay lifetime after two weeks on the free cap, not before.
The $5/month SKU is for people who will not last a year. That's fine. Don't pretend it's the deal.
